Apam Gula Hangus

It has been ages since the last time I posted a recipe in my blog. As how the songs & melody cant be separated for the late Tan Sri P.Ramlee, the same thing goes to me & cooking. Cooking is my passion & it's something I really love doing. It gave me some sort of pleasure nothing else could match up with.

A few of my friends have been complaining about the absence of new recipes in my blog. So, in order not to disappoint them, today I'm gonna post a simple yet marvelous recipe of a Malay traditional kuih called Apam Gula Hangus. Credit to My Resipi for this wonderful recipe.

There are 2 things I like the most about this particular apam. First, preparing it is very, very easy. No mixer, no sifting, no nothing - all you need is a blender & steamer. Secondly, is of course the outcome. The texture of this apam is super soft & fluffy and the taste is just so yummy ! everyone should try it - it's really good !

Here it goes :

Ingredients :

2 eggs
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of hot water
1/2 cup of oil
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp condensed milk
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp soda bicarbonate

How To :

- Cook the sugar under small heat until it turns to golden brown
- Slowly add the hot water & cook till the sugar clumps dissolve
- Set aside to cool
- Put the eggs, milk, butter & oil into a blender & blend for approximately 3 mins.
- Add in the cold caramel & bicarbonate of soda & blend again.
- Finally put in the flour & blend till the mixture is well blended.
- Grease the mould & pour the mixture in.
- Steam it for approximately 40 mins.
